Behind the closed Doorss.....
Behind the closed doorss……
This is how we live with our Woes, Regrets, Sadness, Disappointments….Alone
behind the closed doors.
We are free to share our Happiness and Success with everyone
relatives, friends, neighbours and even strangers, but when it comes to other
side of the coin, it should be dealt by us and us alone, behind the closed doors. Without a whimper or a whisper escaping our door we must indulge in our
sadness and enjoy the bliss of being a strong person. At end of it we are born
alone and we have to deal with our issues alone and blah blah…..and here comes the unending motivation.
Are we really born to suffer alone?? A brave soul fighting
the battle Alone…….
What do we have relations and society for?? Just to be there
to eat sleep and be a part of our merry life. Are we not diminishing the very
foundations of society of togetherness by preaching to deal with things on our
own. We as early humans came together to protect and sustain life, formed
mutually beneficial environment for sustenance. Are we regressing by preaching
Aloneliness?
Don’t share!! don’t discuss!!
don’t reveal!!... Oh!! personal issue… just swallow the disappointment and
suffocate your life with it, or else face social stigma of being shameless or
risk yourself to be used for someone’s ulterior motives. If a human is
suffering, irrespective of gender, violence, sexual misbehaviour, bias etc individual is not motivated to share rather preached to be brave and deal with it alone.
Why women suffer for so long?.... because we are tuned to suffer alone. We are motivated, to discharge our duties religiously towards our respective family and extended
families, at the same time politely asked to suffer alone behind the
closed doors. what are we nurturing these relationships for when we cant share when we suffer. What will people think? What will neighbours think? What will
relative say? ………endless 'what if’s' . Suffocated and smothered poor
suffering soul ready to bust out with a Bang!! is quietly buried under "What if's".
All over the world the cases of
suicide and violence pertaining to Mental health is on exponential rise. Whether
it is the Mass shootings, Suicides, Celebrity suicides, Street violence, Rapes, Drug fuelled
violence, Domestic violence…..all have a common thread Alonliness, sometimes the Perpetrator is lonely and other times the Sufferer.Suffering
alone in absence of a strong social and familial support is a significant contributing factor behind
such incidences. No one to talk to…no one trustworthy to understand your woes….Should
we not blame our 'do not talk to anyone' policy behind
discouraging sufferers from sharing?
Should we not motivate people to
share not just happiness but also sadness?? Should we not Go back to our roots and nurture the
significance of being together….being there for each other….being a support and
not a regret….
Be a hand to hold.. Be an Ear to listen.. Be a Heart to
accept....Be a Human

ReplyDeleteREAL TRUTH HAS BEEN DEPICTED THROUGH YOUR WRITING.....WE HAVE BECOME SO FOND OF OUR LOLINESS THAT WE HAVE GIVEN IT A POSITIVE FEELING #BEARINGTHINGSALONE FOR THE SHAKE OF BEING INDEPENDENT.
ReplyDeletethank you for reading Kunal....true at least that is what we are being pushed to feel...fight alone be brave etc...why cant we lean on someone's shoulder for help when we need? what are people around us for then?...deep down we encounter similar demons...if we confront them together we all will be in a better place...that is what society is meant to do
DeleteBeautifully written Pinky..its true we are taught only to share our success stories but all disappointments are to b borne alone..there are very few people in life who will be there by your side on tour times of need.I feel in this increasingly self oriented society of ours, True friends and close bonds of siblings relatives spouse need to b nurtured lovingly. Most importantly let us not sit on judgement on others actions or lives.Who are we to talk about others when we ourselves have a hundred faults? There's just this life and lets support one another..
ReplyDeletethank you for reading....we should never judge on someone based on one or even few incidences...emotional outburst are judged by people in a most harsh manner ignoring their root cause...sensitivity and wish to understand other person is diminishing completely...."sanu ki" "chor hume kya karna hai unka mamla hai".....sadly even in west this attitude prevails...look at all those School mass killings in US usually it is discovered the perpetrator needed help and was left alone in emotionally vulnerable state......we are moving towards the same....
